Welcome to Day 8 of the 30-Day Study & Pray Challenge!
1Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord. Psalm 150 (NIV)
The message of this scripture couldn’t be more clear…
Praise the Lord!
Why should we praise the Lord?
Well, He created us to worship Him.
We are incomplete unless we serve the God who created us.
We praise Him because He is the greatest.
As a matter of fact, verse 2 tells us that He surpasses greatness.
How should we praise the Lord?
Praise Him through song.
Praise Him with instruments.
Praise Him with dance.
Praise Him with your life.
Praise God how He leads you to praise Him.
Where should we praise the Lord?
Praise Him at church.
Praise Him everywhere else.
When should we praise the Lord?
As long as we have breath to praise, we should praise the Lord!
Praise Him when times are good or bad.
As believers, when we take time to sit and think about all God has done.
How He created the heavens and the earth.
Look at how beautiful this earth is.
Think about how He designed this earth to work, the systems and cycles.
And how He created them to support our lives.
Think about how we decided to reject Him.
How we chose sin, yet, He sent His only son to die for our salvation.
Think about His Word.
How He gave us an explicit guide on how we should live.
Think about the Holy Spirit.
How He gave us a comforter to help guide us through life.
When I think about His grace and how I don’t deserve it.
There is nothing else I can do except praise the Lord.
Let everything that have breath praise the Lord!
How will you praise the Lord?
Lord we praise you!
We thank you for creating us.
For creating the heavens and the earth.
We praise you for your power.
For your surpassing greatness.
Lord, we praise you for everything because you are everything!
And as long as I have breath, I will praise you.
In Jesus name I pray, amen.
