Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 37-39 (NIV)
Like Joshua, we have to be strong and courageous.
As Christian men…
We are going to encounter some uncomfortable situations.
We will face what seems like impossible situations.
In order to grow and build God’s Kingdom, we need to confront these situations head on.
As Christian men, we have no other option but to stand and fight.
No one else can take our place.
Look at this world.
Biblical manhood is under attack and we are the only ones that can fight this battle.
We need to take an uncompromising stand on God’s Word at work and at home.
What does that look like?
We don’t go around throwing Bibles at people’s heads but we don’t compromise what we believe in.
We tell the truth when others lie.
We give when others steal.
We take care of our responsibilities when others hide from theirs.
We help those who are in need.
We don’t hide our sins, we make ourselves accountable and overcome them.
We are not afraid to share the gospel and we share it with the love of Christ.
DO NOT BE AFRAID!
Our God is with us wherever we go!
We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
We are men…
We are Christian men…
Be strong and courageous!
Will you be strong and courageous?
Lord, thank you for giving us the strength and courage we need to not be afraid or discouraged.
Thank you for being with us wherever we go.
You have made us more than conquerors and I pray that we will stand on Your Word.
There is nothing that can separate us from Your love and I pray that we will share that love with others.
In Jesus’s name I pray, amen.
